PMCA organized the “Literary Fest” on 23rd of March’19. As a part of this fest, a paper writing competition called ‘Each One, Write One” was conducted in which 26 participants wrote papers on a myriad of topics like Sustainable development, Green Architecture, Sociology in Architecture, Urban Design, Innovative Construction Techniques, etc.

 

Piloo Mody College of Architecture organized a training programme on “Research in Architecture”, in collaboration with COA-TRC, Bhubaneswar. The 5-day program was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Santosh Kumar Misra (Professor, PMCA, Dean Architecture, BPUT), and some eminent architects including Prof. Dr. Kajri Mishra (Professor & Dean, XUB, Bbsr), Prof. Dr. Abraham George (Professor, IIT Kharagpur), Dr. Janmejoy Gupta (Assistant Professor, BIT Mesra) and Prof. Dr. Madhumita Roy (JU, Kolkata) had made their graceful presence and engaged the participants into enlightening discussions, assignments, presentations, brainstorming debates and activities.
The Workshop aimed at informing the participants about the fundamentals of research, the different types of research, the basics of a PhD level research and the characteristics of a good architectural research work.
